This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out what you may and may not do when using Crust, provided by Smulp AB. It is part of our Terms of Service. We may update it as Crust grows, so please check back.
Plain-language summary: Don’t break the app, don’t cheat the billing, don’t use Crust for illegal or infringing content, and don’t abuse the AI models. If you do, we can suspend or remove your access.
1. You are responsible for your account
You are responsible for all activity, all content, and all node and inference charges incurred under your account, including by anyone you allow to use it. Keep your credentials secure and your usage within these rules.
2. Don’t abuse billing, credits, or inference
The following are prohibited. We treat them seriously because they create direct cost for us and other users:
- Manipulating, evading, hiding, or under-reporting node or inference usage or charges.
- Exploiting bugs, glitches, or errors in pricing, credits, metering, or promotions instead of reporting them to us.
- Using scripts, automation, or multiple/shared accounts to circumvent usage limits, credit allocations, or pricing.
- Reselling, sublicensing, or providing access to the Service or its model capacity to others except as we expressly allow.
- Chargeback abuse or using payment methods you are not authorised to use.
3. Don’t harm the Service
- Don’t damage, disable, overload, probe, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
- Don’t bypass or circumvent security, rate limits, metering, or any safety or content safeguards.
- Don’t reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying software or models, except where the law expressly allows.
- Don’t introduce malware or use the Service to attack or gain unauthorised access to any system.
4. Don’t misuse content or AI models
- Don’t create, upload, or distribute content that is illegal, infringes intellectual-property or publicity rights, or that you don’t have the rights to use.
- Don’t generate content that sexualises minors, promotes terrorism or violence, harasses or defames real people, or is otherwise prohibited by law.
- Don’t use AI models to create deceptive deepfakes of real people without a lawful basis and required disclosures.
- Comply with the terms and policies of the third-party AI model providers you use through Crust. Their rules apply on top of ours.
5. What happens if you break these rules
If you violate this AUP, or help or encourage others to, we may take any action we reasonably consider necessary to protect Crust, our users, and third parties. This may include:
- removing or quarantining content;
- limiting, suspending, or permanently terminating your access, immediately where the situation requires it; and
- reporting unlawful activity to the authorities.
You won’t be entitled to a refund or credit for any interruption or termination caused by your violation. Suspension or termination doesn’t limit any other rights or remedies we have.
